6. The Rabbit in the Burrow

2/26/2010

When spring came, the rabbits went out hopping except for the rabbit in the burrow.  When summer came, the rabbits went out frolicking except for the rabbit in the burrow. When they asked him to come out and play, he softly whispered, "Are you not afraid of being the prey?"

Worry less, live more.

5. The Fisherman

2/19/2010

One sunny day, a fisherman decided to cast his net out in the sea. Before doing so, he shouted, “What a day to catch some delicious fish!” The fish heard this and they all swam as far away as possible. When he drew up his net, nothing was there.

Tell the world what you plan to do, but first do it.

4. The Fox and the Ass

2/14/2010

“I don’t know. I’ve heard about you,” said the fox. “I’m different now. Trust me…” said the ass as he proceeded to slowly touch her tail. Suddenly she screeched “don’t touch me!” and stormed out of the café. Embarrassed, the ass left too when he found another fox, “Hi, there!”

Once a cheater, always a cheater.

3. The Squirrel and his Wealthy Grandpa

2/14/2010

One day, a squirrel went to visit his wealthy grandpa, who was about to die, inside a magnificent Oak tree. He pulled his nephew close, “My boy, don’t miss the chance like I did. I wish I’d spent as much time and energy accumulating relationships as I had golden acorns.”

When we look back, it’s our relationships that mattered most.

2. The Two Baby Brother Ducks

2/14/2010

Once upon a time, two baby brother ducks were gluing colorful sparkles on candles as gifts for the family ducks for Christmas. Suddenly, a huge scary bald eagle swooped right over them and they spilled the colorful glitter everywhere. One said, “quack you eagle!” The other said, “quack, my fault!”

Never play the blame game. You’ll always lose.

1. The Three Blind Cats

2/14/2010

One rainy day three blind cats went searching for food. The first one was lazy waiting for others to bring him food. The second one found something but kept it to himself. The last one found something, and shared it with the others. God rewarded the last one with sight.

It's not unrealistic to live altruistic.
